Dedicated mobile phone movie app & responsive website

Lack of enough Kenyan interest in films made by Kenyans has led to a stagnation of the Kenyan movie industry.

As a lover of authentic Kenyan films, I took it upon myself to make them easily accessible on the web and also through a mobile phone app.

Once the low fidelity prototype was ready, I conducted an unmoderated usability study to establish whether the dedicated mobile-phone app and responsive website were easy to use and if not, what were the pain points. Going into the study, I assumed that only Kenyans in Kenyans would find the app and website useful but at the end of it all, I discovered that they were even more beneficial to Kenyans in diaspora who yearned for access to Kenyan films and also live event recordings.

This was a real eye-opener!
